A slightly odd mix of images. Everything from plants and flowers to birds and animals - some macro, some not. This seemed the easiest way of bringing them together into a single gallery which celebrates elements of the natural world not covered by 'landscape' photography. But just as beautiful and just as photogenic.
Macro photography is something that I got into many years ago, when I worked my way through various bridge cameras. These are excellent for capturing macro shots, in fact you can almost touch the lens onto the subject. Since moving to a CSC, I missed the in-built macro ability, and at some point I’ll get myself a good macro lens - but for now I’m getting some great results with the Raynox dmc-150 macro converter. What a brilliant piece of kit!
