Latest news on the MK50 Photo Book, and another new sponsor!

A while back I got involved with digital agency MK21's photography competition, as one of the judging team to find a new MK brand image for the business. One conversation led to another, and I was delighted when MD Oliver Dean agreed to sponsor the MK50 Photo Book project. MK21 is the 3rd confirmed sponsor for the project, after SEKO Logistics and MK Business Leaders Partnership - and we will be making two further announcements shortly!

It's great that momentum is building, and that more and more MK businesses are coming on board as sponsors of the project - which is designed to show as wide an audience as possible what a brilliant place Milton Keynes is to live and work. More recently I have also been talking to the MK50 team at MK Council about the possibility of an exhibition of the book images, to coincide with the birthday weekend in January 2016. Watch this space for more information on that, and for full details on our most recent sponsors.

If you are interested in getting involved with the book, please do email me, or send a message on Twitter @GillPrincePhoto. We will only be able to professionally design and print the book if we are able to generate £8,500 worth of sponsorship by the end of August this year. We have £6,000 more to raise, and we're hoping to do this with sponsorship of £250, £500 or £1,000 from each business. Though of course more would be even better! Each sponsor will receive a proportion of the initial 500 print run for use as corporate gifts for Christmas 2016, and well as being involved in all publicity for the book.

In the meantime, I'm continuing to capture more images for the book as Spring moves into Summer - so if you see someone with a camera, lying flat on their face in the middle of Campbell Park or on a central reservation or roundabout, it's probably me!
