Work on the MK50 Photography Book project has been progressing really well - thanks to some amazing weather, and a few VERY early starts! We got a huge boost yesterday also, when MK Business Leaders Partnership agreed to come on board as a sponsor - which is very exciting news.
MK Business Leaders is an organisation which aims is to identify and develop the interests and needs of business in Milton Keynes, and be recognised as the pre-eminent body for business contact at a strategic level. The decision was made by Chairman of MKBLP Dr Philip Smith MBE and the board, and I’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved for making the commitment to this project, it's very exciting.
I asked Philip for a comment, and this is what he said:
“This is an excellent opportunity for MK Business Leaders Partnership to be involved in celebrating 50 years since the official designation of Milton Keynes. The donation forms part of our annual programme of support to creative business projects in the city and we hope this book will be a resounding success - and also a lasting reminder of a landmark in our city's history.”
We are also talking to a number of other MK businesses and organisations, but we do still need more sponsors, if we're going to be able to professionally design and print the book, so if you’re interested in getting involved please call me on 07595 161855 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sponsors will each receive a proportion of the books for use as corporate gifts for Christmas 2016, as well as being involved in all supporting publicity.
As a reminder, this will be a high quality art book which features 50 urban, landscape and architectural images of Milton Keynes as it is today. The purpose of this book will be to demonstrate to readers how beautiful and unique Milton Keynes is at 50 - to raise awareness and to help promote the town as a vibrant and exciting place to live and work.
